Winners of the international A³ Real Estate Award
Affordable housing is one of the most urgent challenges of our time. At the same time, new construction and refurbishment must become more climate-friendly, resource-efficient and economically viable. This is exactly the focus of the “A³ Immobilien Award – nachhaltige Ideen für morgen” (A³ Real Estate Award – Sustainable Ideas for Tomorrow). On 15 July 2025, as part of the A³ Immobilienkongress (A³ Real Estate Congress), the outstanding projects from the second round of the award were honoured. Wächter PR attended the award ceremony of this specially created future-focused competition in person and has supported the event – as well as the entire innovative project – in all aspects from the very beginning. In the main category, Christoph Scheithauer (cs-architektur) and Stijn Nagels (nagels architects) were recognised for their project “Wir inHAUSer”, while the young talent category went to Rebekka Wandt for her Master’s thesis “Walk the Line”.
The award entered its second round in 2024 – this time with a thematic focus on (affordable) housing. The competition sought and rewarded innovative, sustainable and forward-looking real estate concepts from the German-speaking region in central Europe.
The A³ Immobilien Award was launched in 2023 by Wächter PR together with Regio Augsburg Wirtschaft GmbH. Since then, the agency has guided the multi-stage competition through all phases: from concept and communication to application management, pre-selection organisation, presenting the jury session and the award ceremony. Alongside many established architecture prizes in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the A³ Immobilien Award particularly honours practical ideas from project developers and real estate companies that take a holistic view of implementing innovative building concepts. Providing a platform for emerging talent in the industry was also a key priority for the organisers from Augsburg, a very future-oriented location for business.
