For the 39th IDS, Talk of Town invites the dental world to a virtual press breakfast. The motto of COLTENE’s products: Simplify your life!
On the 10th anniversary of all things, the Covid19 pandemic presents Talk of Town with special challenges in trade fair support around the International Dental Show: Since 2011, the agency has been working as a proven expert in the field of dental PR for the Swiss dental specialist COLTENE. The joint press conferences and journalists’ meetings in Cologne for the specialist areas of restorative dentistry, endodontics and infection control have become a cherished tradition. So in what form do you present the latest innovation highlights in a contemporary way? Especially when the journalists themselves only partly travel to the world’s leading trade fair?
In close cooperation with the central marketing and the respective product management of the COLTENE subsidiaries and branches in Germany and Switzerland, the agency designed a digital “Breakfast Brief”. Via video conference, the invited trade press guests immerse themselves in an exciting cosmos of novel working aids and dental materials. Under the motto “Simplify your life”, the product managers present their personal trade fair highlight. Because all product innovations have one thing in common: they should make the lives of dentists and practice teams noticeably easier.
3 – the magic number of the morning. In three short presentations, the participants learned everything worth knowing about the IDS innovations and their diverse applications. Annika Keilhauer, CEO of Wächter & Wächter PR & Event, guided the participants through the digital get-together. After the presentations, the journalists exchanged views directly with the contact persons and asked their own personal questions.

Jörg Weis, Marketing Director COLTENE, explained to the audience how attractive composite restorations can be achieved with the BRILLIANT EverGlow shade system. Finally, Manuela Steinhauser, Product Manager Europe at the COLTENE subsidiary SciCan, presented a space miracle from the field of hygiene management. One week before the start of the hybrid trade fair, the trade press was thus given an exclusive insight into this year’s new additions to the rich COLTENE range.
